Description of Exhibtion:
Contemporary Bodies explores the decorative and behavioral aspects of the post-modern human through the mediums of porcelain and bronze.
Lisa Wise has created a series of figurative sculptures cast from the human body. Through these reproductions of the body she examines human nature and how we are manipulated by our frailties, desires and instincts.
Kevin Heisner fuses fashion and mixed media to create a permanent fashion object that can stand-alone in contemporary spaces.
His body form is that of a dress stand blended with the female silhouette. In using a combination of cloth and porcelain paperclay he creates a clay textile embedded with decoration.
