Southern Highlands Artists

The artists selected for this exhibition represent several of the highest profile ceramic artists from New South Wales. The Southern Highlands is unique, is providing a beautiful environment, within easy access to several large cities, making it a mecca for many artists and craftspeople who live there. Each of the artists chosen by Sturt Gallery for this presentation, has contributed to the vitality and breadth of contemporary Australian ceramic expression, while making work of the highest quality, earning a reputation which sees them exhibiting continually, both in Australia and overseas. These artists choose to work in a range of ceramic media to include salt glaze wood fired stoneware, slip casting as well as sculptural pieces. Each of these artists has lived in the Highlands for over thirty years.
