Description
Conversations is an exploration of the impact, relationships and conversations that occur within the ceramics community and the affect that these influences have on these artists' practice. Each Sabbia representative artist has been asked to invite one Australian ceramist who influences, informs and converses with their artwork or practice.
This influence may be found in many ways, such as through friendship, studio partnerships, collaborations or with artists that deal with the medium in a similar way. As ceramists generally are in solitary working environments, the sense of collaboration/influence is often derived through conversations, blogs, conferences, and seeing one another’s work in galleries.
